Blazing thru Motley Crue classics, Neil capped a day of choppers, hot rods, and Girls Girls Girls, including an appearance by illusionist Criss Angel.

Count's Kustoms, a licensed manufacturer of custom choppers and hot rods in Las Vegas, has built for Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, and Michael Godard.. On television, the shop's work has been seen on The Discovery Channel, The Speed Channel, MTV's The Osbournes, Corbin's Ride On and VH-1. In 2006, the choppers and hot rods served as the perfect backdrop for Godsmack's 2006 video for the band's hit single, "Speak". As previously reported, CINDERELLA frontman Tom Keifer and members of HINDER will make guest appearances on the new album from LYNAM. The follow-up to last year's "Slave to the Machine" is currently being recorded with producer Jason Elgin (COLLECTIVE SOUL, MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER) and will be mixed by Jason Elgin, Mike Shipley (GREEN DAY, DEF LEPPARD) and Beau Hill.

Led by frontman and principal songwriter Jacob Bunton, LYNAM is heavily influenced by DEF LEPPARD and has drawn comparisons to WOLFMOTHER. That concert has been re-scheduled for July 13th. MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil is working on the pilot for a new A&E reality-TV show. According to Vince, the program will follow the singer and his family after his parents have moved in with him. Neil told Eddie Trunk of the "Friday Night Rocks" radio show on New York's Q104.3 FM last night (February 9), "My wife [Lia] hasn't talked to my mom since the wedding," which took place January 9, 2005 in Las Vegas.

In other news, Neil has confirmed rumors that MÖTLEY CRÜE will head back to Europe in June for some festival appearances, which will likely include a stop at the Download festival in England. According to Neil, the band has written more than a hundred songs for a proposed new studio album, which is expected to be released sometime in 2008.

Neil has scheduled a number of solo headlining dates in Australia and the U.S. during March/April. He will be performing the red-hot hits of MÖTLEY CRÜE (including "Kickstart My Heart", "Girls Girls Girls", "Dr. Feelgood" and "Home Sweet Home") with his all-star band featuring Dana Strum (SLAUGHTER, VINNIE VINCENT INVASION) on bass, Jeff Blando (SLAUGHTER) on guitar and Will Hunt (TOMMY LEE, DARK NEW DAY, SKRAPE) on drums.

The hard-hitting Will Hunt is no stranger to MÖTLEY CRÜE, having substituted a tendonitis-suffering Tommy Lee last year for some shows on the CRÜE's "Carnival of Sins" tour. He previously toured the world playing drums in Tommy Lee's solo band.

No board members vote will count more than any other member. If a tie should occur, a vote by all active Cruefests will be made where each fest will get one vote. A Cruefest/Motley.com Representative will act as Secretary of Operations and will vote only if the first and second votes should end in a tie. All fests approved after Chicago have a lease of two years on the Cruefest name, and the responsibilities of the Cruefest Charter are to submit in writing the wish to renew charter after those two years. The Charter must use all Cruefest art unaltered. They may still use their own location art, but it needs to accompany the Cruefest Logo. Local sponsors can be acquired from the Charters with relationships that they have built on their own account. If there were ever a mold, a stereotype of the self-absorbed rock 'n' roller, Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil breaks it. Oh, sure, when we met the 45-year-old bad boy recently at Bali Hai Golf Club on the Strip, he sported the requisite long hair and the tattoos, the sleeveless T-shirt and King's ransom in bling. He still looked like the blonde-haired surfer boy that millions of fans know him as, but the tattoos, hairstyle, clothing and jewelry—that's all just appearance. Let's talk essence. Neil is a guy who plays golf. In fact, his first Vegas home was on the third hole of the old Desert Inn Golf Course.

"I started in 1985," he says. "Our tour manager was an avid golfer, and we were staying at the Four Seasons outside Dallas, where they have a TPC course, Los something. And I rented some clubs, and it was fun, and I actually bought my first clubs there at the pro shop. And I dug it, so then I played every time that I could. We'd play almost every day, because most of the places where we stayed were on golf resorts."

The rest of Mötley Crüe gave him a good ribbing (and still do), and a good publicist might have warned that playing golf could threaten the band's counterculture image and record sales. But Neil didn't care about any of that, and today he owns eight sets of golf clubs.

"It's a great hobby," he says. "And something you can do when you're on the road, because you know every place has a golf course. The only tough part is when you're touring in the winter."

Besides countless rounds with his tour manager and members of Crüe's road crew, Neil has also looped with elder rock statesmen Alice Cooper, Meatloaf and Huey Lewis.

"Each one kind of made it cool," he says. "And we started the rock 'n' roll golf tournament. For rock guys, it was cool again to play."
